Cookies and IP Addresses

CGI collects and uses an Individual’s IP address to help identify the Individual, gather broad demographic information about users of the Sites, diagnose problems with CGI’s systems, and administer the App.

Depending on an Individual’s browser/phone settings, the Site and App may use cookies. A cookie is a tiny element of data that our Site and App can send to an Individual’s browser, which may then be stored on their hard drive so we can recognize them when they return to the Site. We use cookies to deliver content according to the Individual’s preferences and to save the Individual’s password so that the Individual is not required to re-enter it while the Individual uses the Site and App. If an Individual’s browser settings do not accept cookies from our Site and App, they may not be able to take advantage of all the features of our Site.

Third-Party Advertisers and Ad-Serving Companies

Advertisements that appear on CGI are sometimes delivered (or “served”) directly to Users by third-party advertisers or ad network companies (collectively, the “Third Party Advertisers “). Third Party Advertisers may automatically receive a User’s IP address or other information about his or her mobile device or personal computer when serving advertisements. They may also download cookies to a User’s computer, or use other technologies such as JavaScript and “web beacons” to measure the effectiveness of the advertisements served and to personalize advertising content. Doing this allows the advertiser or ad network to recognize a User’s computer or mobile device each time he or she sends a User an advertisement to measure the effectiveness of the ad and to personalize advertising content. Further, Third Party Advertisers may use aggregated information (not including User’s name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to the CGI website and other websites to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to Users. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, please see: Link. CGI does not access or have control of the cookies that may be placed by third-party advertisers or ad networks. Likewise, third party advertisers and ad networks do not have access to a User’s personal information stored with us unless a User chooses to share it with them. This Policy does not cover the use of tracking technologies or personal information by any such third-party advertisers or ad networks.

Third party links

Our Site and App may contain links to other sites that CGI does not own or operate. Also, links to our Website may be featured on third party websites on which we advertise. Except as provided herein, CGI will not provide an individual’s personal information to these third parties without the Individual’s consent. We provide links to third party websites as a convenience to individuals. These links are not intended as an endorsement of or referral to the linked websites. The linked websites have separate and independent privacy statements, notices and terms of use, which we recommend individuals read carefully. CGI does not have any control over such websites, and therefore has no responsibility or liability because the organizations that operate such linked websites may collect, use or disclose, secure and otherwise treat an individual’s personal information.

Security

CGI has implemented measures designed to protect against the theft, loss, unauthorized access, use, disclosure and alteration of personal information in our custody and control with security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including using reasonable physical, organizational, and technological safeguards and appropriate training of employees. CGI’s third party service providers are obligated to maintain confidentiality and security of the personal information transferred to them and are not authorized to use such information other than to provide the services or as otherwise permitted by law.

An Individual’s online access to certain of their personal information may be protected with a username and/or password that the Individual chooses. CGI strongly suggests that Individuals do not disclose their username or password to anyone. CGI never asks for an Individual’s password in any unsolicited communication.

CGI retains personal information only if necessary for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required or permitted by law.

Opt-Out

Individuals are given the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from CGI by using the unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of our email communications by contacting our Chief Privacy Officer (the “Privacy Officer”) using the contact information provided below.

Access/Corrections

An Individual may contact the Privacy Officer to access, modify or correct inaccuracies in any of his or her personal information that is under CGI’s custody or control. An Individual may also direct a written complaint regarding compliance with this Privacy Policy to the Privacy Officer and, within a reasonable time upon receiving the written complaint, the Privacy Officer will investigate the matter. Within a reasonable time of concluding the investigation, the Privacy Officer will respond to the complaint and, if appropriate, CGI will take appropriate measure necessary to rectify the source of the complaint.

Changes to The Policy

Please note that the Policy may change at any time and without prior notice. Any revised version(s) of the Policy will be promptly posted on the CGI website.

We will not reduce User rights under the Policy without each User’s explicit consent, and we expect most such changes will be negligible. To better inform Users of changes to the Policy, we will post any such changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification). Each version of this Policy will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date, and we will also keep prior versions of Our Privacy Policy in an archive for review by Users.

A User’s continued use of the Services constitutes his or her agreement to this Policy and any future revisions.
